No shit! SMRT and Transcab will be conducting a major fleet renewal exercise. High COEs just won't do! They can't pass it to the cab drivers and passengers. There's a pain threshold that can't be breached with regard to cabbies' minimum income and commuters' willingness to pay without adverse political consequences.

Something to do with the veiled "Bulleeputra" policy in Singapore whereby the local born are subjected to preferred harsher punishments for crimes committed as well as bias policies in favor of foreigners. On the other end is "What can we do for you mi amigo?":oIo:
