CNN finished No. 17 among cable stations during primetime last week. CNN averaged only 367,000 total viewers from 8-11 p.m. during the week of December 2. By comparison, Fox News Channel averaged 2.5 million total primetime viewers during the same period.

CNN’s bleak audience was smaller than TNT, Food Network, Freeform, Discovery, INSP, Hallmark Mystery, TLC, TBS, History, HGTV, USA, MSNBC, Paramount, Hallmark Channel, ESPN and Fox News.

i started to like CNN since the gulf war when TCS streamed their news during early mornings and late nights.

They were also rich in contents but in recent years, they got biased and created a lot fake news and go around pointing fingers at others.

To me, I want news from a news channel, not opinions.

Why were 367,000 people watching CNN? It should be ZERO.

usually at hotel and motel lobbies or cafes where guests are busy checking in and out or having their complimentary breakfast. everybody is so busy and in a rush that no one seems to care what channel is on. cnn is the de facto channel in the common areas of mid level biz travel hotels and i’m sure no one watches it but nielsen ratings assume guests are watching it as it’s on.
