He did not take pics of the shorts, he placed his camera under the shorts. Looking at the door and peeping thru the door's gap or key hole is different.

These sort of videos or photos are usually known as up-skirt vids or shots, altho what he wanted to see or view is anybody's guess, if the type of tight shorts are those that the younger girls are wearing these days, are anything to go by.

Can we call it "Up-Short shot"?
