CNA was eyeing for international audience, so they have to look professional and report less of unworthy news because no foreigners knows who is Teo Chee Heng and nobody care about his family matters.
On the other hand, Straits Times is very homely PAP mouthpiece. It can and never will be able to go interntaional given its pathetic ranking on world stage. Thus Shit Times feel more comfortable at home patronising and boot-licking its masters. If LHL fart, you expect to see full pages of news, taking it like some wonderful scent.
