The last time I checked ... most Sinkie Chinese have ancestry of Mainland China. Most of them were of southern stock though. Now there is an influx of Chinese cuisine from other parts of China setting shop here does not mean is it not Chinese food. It just that variety had changed. I am sure most patrons are local Sinkie. It just they have given a wider variety to choose from. A Chink will always be a Chink no matter they came from.

Most PRC Chinese don’t. They still see themselves more superior as a citizen of motherland and small nations like Sg which have a high Chinese population are expected to learn language and follow PRC Chinese
