Assistant manager Elaine Koh sent Stomp this photo of her four-room HDB flat on McNair Road. She tells Aw Cheng Wei that Zen with a touch of modernity was the theme they went for.

90 sq m, four-room HDB flat on McNair Road
Lives with husband Tan Chia-Li, 38, a civil servant, and their sons, Yu Jie, five, and Yu Cong, two.
I love my home because...
It is only a few minutes to town and is near the MRT. Our top-floor unit is quite windy.
Also, we're near my in-laws, who live across the road. We leave our boys with them on weekdays.
My decor theme is...
On the Zen side with a modern touch.
My favourite corner is...
The living room, where family and friends gather together.
The nearly full-length windows offer a great view. We placed a small table and cushions on the platform we built in one corner, and we often relax there over a pot of tea.
I'm most proud of...
The platform area. The furnishings in other parts of the flat are from our previous place, but this area is totally new and we had great fun looking for the various pieces.
We added plants and a giraffe-shaped lamp that my husband found in Kuala Lumpur.
Will I sell it?
No, not without a really good offer. [email protected]

Cost of home: $530,000
