For these Charismatic churches, there's usually a service on both days of the weekend: Saturday and Sunday.
Some of them may also have additional services in other languages (Mandarin, Chinese dialect, Bahasa Indonesian or Tagalog).
There's also a weekly cell group meeting during mid-week.

Most churches have saturday and sunday service,,,but that depends on the number of attendees. if no people attend, have soo many service for what?
more services and cell meets equals to more opportunities to collect money.

I saw the TV series The Borgias which is about the Borgia family in the 15th/16th centuries using unethical means to be the Pope and then abuse power. Now in modern times you hear how the pastor in a church amass so much questionable wealth.
Lately there is a Thai monk flying in private jet, owning and giving away a number of luxury cars. This monk has since been disrobed.
You hear of radical groups doing terrorist acts. You hear of religion that supports class system which marginalize the poor.
So what is going on with religion ? I believe religion is a good thing but it has been abused by many. I once met a Western Buddhist monk in Thailand, he said something about Buddha's teaching versus being a Buddhist. I have read Buddha's teaching and find it to benefit me tremendously but at the same time I am quite confused and doubts extreme practice of any religion. What I can't accept people in position abuse their position.

Religion is a very personal thing..like Christianity. There are Christians and there are Christians..some in name, some in faith, some over zealous and overly religious,,its the middle ground and balance that is important. Just choose what suits you.. Look at Kong Hee followers,,its so obvious he is a false preacher but his followers are still so dumb as to follow him. what more can i say?
Look at Mad Khaw,,wear prayer beads etc,,,profess to be a buddhist but he has a heart of a serpent and mouth of a fox,,,need I say more?
Bottom line is as an individual one has to make the decision on what to follow...if one is a buddhist and see the monks being corrupt, does not mean that all is bad. One just have to follow the scripture and live life accordingly.
