Non-unionisation of PRC drivers betrays NTUC's aversion towards foreigners

Yes, the big hypocritical talk by our PAPpy leaders about integration of foreigners in our land, goading Sinkies to accept them is all one big fat bull. When it comes to their own organisations, they run far far away from the issue!

Yesterday's strike staged by SMRT drivers, who make up of mainland Chinese, was an eye-opener in more ways than one. In my opinion, the biggest eye-opener is the hypocritical attitude the govt has towards foreigners themselves.

The fact that NTUC and NTWU did not even bother to get these workers unionised tells us what these PAPpy linked bodies think about foreign workers in the first place! Wazzat 'bout integrating foreigners into our society again?

Something is not right, isn't it? The PAP has talked so much about getting Singaporeans to accept foreigners. We are told to make them feel comfortable and make them feel this is their second home. But when it comes to themselves, the PAP does not even get its affiliated bodies to work on that!

Why? Is it because that deep down inside the hearts and minds of those at the NTUC and NTWU, they too have a feeling of aversion and disdain for foreigners? You mean to say that these drivers from China are not employees? They are not workers that have rights too?

So next time PAPpy asks you to accept and welcome foreigners, remind them that they should practise what they preach.
