Now it's my turn to ask:" Guess what race?"
Pastor charged with having oral sex with underage girl
A 45-year-old pastor has been charged with three counts of sexual offences under the Children and Young Persons Act.
The pastor allegedly made an underage girl, who is a church member and was 15 years old at the time of the alleged offence, perform oral sex on him in the church one afternoon in mid-October, 2011.
He is also accused of having oral sex with the girl at a park sometime between September and October 2011. The pastor also faces a third charge of exposing himself to the girl and using her hand to rub his private parts at the same place as the second alleged offence. Both the accused and the victim cannot be named due to a court order to protect the identity of the victim.
Speculation erupted on the Internet after it was reported that the acts had taken place at a park near Bartley MRT station, prompting a church in the area - Bartley Christian Church - to post a notice on its website.
"As rumours have been circulating on the Internet, the pastoral team wishes to inform all that the said pastor is not from Bartley Christian Church," the statement read.
It also sent text messages to assure church members that the accused is not from their church.
