It is how the tax money is spent that determines whether it is beneficial to the people or not. On the other hand, if it is spent recklessly or accumulated blindly when it could be wisely spent, then it is bad. Also estate duty is a form of taxation that only the rich need pay.

Taxation puts money in the govt. coffers. Govt, uses said money for road works, MRT construction, govt. sevices, etc., all benefitting the people. Or is that too difficult for you to comprehend?
