I have only watch on and off for about 20 mins. I think Chingay is becoming more and more like a mini NDP. I hope chingay can revert back to the olden days where there is more "flower cars" and the performances, and not the NDP types where there are themes and one performances can last for 10-15 mins.

Chingay is now nothing more than a multicultural gimmick for tourists.

It's okay if it were marketed as a Mardi Gras, Brazilian Carnaval, or even a gay pride parade.

Undoubtedly it was indeed very entertaining display. Definitely worth the money. I thought I saw Ah Mei performing!
Contrary to popular opinion, the show was meant for all Singaporeans - as there were people of different races watching. The performances were also multi-racial - and not meant just for the Chinese.
