The U.S. military has officially confirmed that the U.S. Marine Corps has accepted six F-35B stealth fighters without their primary radars. Instead of the radar equipment, these initial aircraft have been delivered with dummy ballast weights in their nose cones to maintain proper aerodynamics and center of gravity.
The U.S. Air Force and Navy will also have to start accepting radarless variants later this year. Some analysts estimate that eventually, up to 300+ Aircraft may be delivered with nose ballast until the radar production stabilizes and retrofits can begin.
It may not even a good candidate for a patrol jet
