Chinese Chauvinism at the heart of bilingualism

I have highlighted (in blue above) part of LKY's words. As a side point, I would like to take a critical look at how LKY's Chinese Chauvinism is embedded within his promotion of the Chinese Language and/or Culture.

LKY was referring to the 1950s period, where the likes of early Left wing Leaders, Lim Chin Siong and Fong Swee Suan, organised riots against the govt of Singapore then. These riots were violent clashes that killed many, injured more and caused much public and private property damage. And LKY admires this kind of violent behaviour.

Get the facts right. The chinese school sit-ins and clashes were against the Lim yew hock government -- which was a puppet for the British colonial masters. Chinese students, mostly overaged due to the disruptive war years, had zero prospects for gainful employment after high school. The Chinese here didn't even have citizenship status.

Those students were fighting against an unfair system. Don't compare them to the blackberry messaging anarchists in London who were only out looting LED TVs and shoes.

In my days as lockup SC, all violent crimes were committed by Chinese ranging from rioting, dangerous weapons, robbery, even up to firearms, all were Chinese. Indians maxed out at drunken, disorderly behavior and rioting, worst non-death domestic violence was also by Indians. Chinese domestic violence causing deaths far outnumbered all minorities combined whether in number or in frequency. Malays maxed out at motorcycle drive-by snatch thefts except when religiously provoked. But Chinese would go all the way just over money or anger. All dead cops in Singapore were killed by Chinese. All firearm offences were committed by Chinese. I don't know what it is with Chinese. They look small and blur and kind, but when worked up, they really go all the way till death to see who parts. For those who compare prison population ratio, I'd suggest you compare degree of crimes and sentences of Chinese versus minorities to see the real picture. It was part of my wife's psychology thesis that I helped and took great interest in.
