An elderly woman from southern China has discovered around £41,800-worth of Chinese money she kept in a drawer in her home seriously damaged by termites. She discovered the damage to the notes, which were wrapped in a plastic bag, when she wanted to use some of the money towards decorating. She took the notes to the bank, which identified £35,530 of them
