China Telecom offers better trade-in program than Apple

The China Telecom Beijing Branch (CTBB) is offering a trade-in program for several brands of smartphone including the iPhone after Apple excluded China from the list of its trade-in program countries, reports news portal Sina Technology.
Under the program offered by the CTBB, customers with smartphones including Samsung's S4, the HTC One and iPhone models may buy the latest version of the same phone at a discount.
A customer may obtain a discount equivalent to US$77 on an iPhone 5 when trading in a previous generation iPhone 4S.
The discount offered by CTBB is greater than in the program offered by Apple.
CTBB's offer may attract a good deal of takers, especially as Apple unveils its latest iPhone 5S and 5C models.
