China lands high-tech J-15 jet on new carrier

I think the sentiment in this thread has gone a little overboard. It is just a new warship undergoing its trials. China is modernisig her "defense" capabilities and this is just a part of it. It is just an aircraft carrier, although it is the developing country's (not superpower) first. She still has to dvelop a carrier "task force" for the warship to be effective. I found it interesting though an showed me that Sinophiles can be very defensive of the motherland.

Cheers!

You will be surprised that a lot of educated and successful prc are as skeptical as me of their motherland. I was actually rather bullish on china just a few years ago, until they pointed out the issues for me. Interestingly, the most defensive sinophile I came across within china was a 50+ taxi driver in Beijing. Only knows mandarin and reads their version of shit times only. Quite similar to some of the 60% in sinkieland.

Btw, there is ignore list function. Useful stuff.
