China making a huge mistake with the widebody.
They can improve the range and lengthen the C919 to accommodate more passengers like the A320/A321 family which have the Long raNge and extra long range version.
I believe the Russian MC-21 will have this option. But Russian after sales service is a problem.

We are talking about international trade. Not economy. Who can guarantee CCP or USA or even Singapore be in existence in a decade time.
So the next best thing is to actually open up your borders to trade.

Trade is important, but more important to diversify your trading partners. Don't just depend US or EU. Trade with China, India, BRICs, ASEAN.

China-ASEAN trade already $1 trillion. US-EU trade only $600 bil.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. It's gonna be a multipolar world.

US Is still the largest retail market. China only want to sell and they are not interested in buying.

For the last 15 years, GM, German car makers made most of their money in China.
But losing market share to EV's currently. Same with Boeing, caterpillar, Apple, Microsoft......

They were slow to change.
Previous VW boss invested heavily in EV was sacked and replaced by ICE promoter ceo. Most did not believe EV can be successful due to battery shortcomings.
