Police in Singapore stepped up security around the venue of an international security conference Sunday following a shootout at a roadblock in which officers fatally shot one man and detained two others.

Police said in a statement Sunday that officers opened fire after a vehicle with three people aboard crashed through police barricades. Substances believed to be drugs were found on one of the two people detained. The third man was shot dead, police said.

Security around the conference venue was stepped up and traffic rerouted. Police said they were in control of the situation

It's not the first time the security wayang has been played when globalist delegates have their little chit-chat session in Sinkieland. ;)

Remember 'Fortress Suntec'?

I don't understand why they insist on holding such events in downtown Spore:confused:

Why don't they hold such events at Sentosa, Jurong, Tekong,... ? That way they can wayang all they want without affecting the daily lives of Sporeans.

Sgplians all cooped up in offices where got time to go downtown and jalan jalan?

the safest venue for an international security conference is at a terran stronghold. :p
