He never said anything about uniting, simply that they will work together to scrutinise the pap government.
It's logical given that SPP is the only other opposition party who has an MP in parliament, albeit NCMP.

Mr Chiam, despite not being able to ensure a strong and smooth succession in his party so far, is always the gentleman, a true patriot and cares deeply for the welfare of ordinary Singaporeans. He deserves the respect of all Singaporeans.
