Their salary should not be based on years of servid or acting skills.
It should be on market value assessment.
Means even someone who had been widely leecognise now can get a high salary, but when they have no more value, the salary should be cut. When got value again, it should be raised.

So they should expect to see a up and down trend of their salary throughout their career, like stocks and shares.

Only the few 大姐 and 大哥 like lao zoe etc are being assessed separately, like blue chips, with the common ones.

This sounds like the ageism faced by older PMEs at the office. We become more expensive the longer we stay in the same company, and the management will use excuses like a drop in our productivity to stagnate or even cut our wages. They either hope we will stay on as we fear having nowhere else to go, or resign and save them having to pay any form of retrenchment benefits.

According to my experience, beating superiors to puppies will only suffer pay stagnant, no pay cut becos the superiors wasn't able to leebuke and became puppies. And unable to fire me too becos i leeleevered my job scope properly.
After some time, I would self terminate and move on to the next company with the same salary. Then the cycles went on and on and my salary leemained the same 20 years ago.
