i recalled some folks getting duped into getting cheap hi-fi sets with missing parts from some chaps in car parks.

modus operandi is simple: traveling in a van and selling the cheap hi-fi sets to unwitting customers by telling them they had an extra hi-fi during delivery, willing to part it for a fraction of actual cost, warranty valid, etc...
