Despite the fact that the Commissioner of Charities (COC) has released a detailed findings on its investigation into the City Harvest Church funds being deliberately misused by Pastor Kong Hee and his cohorts, his followers and supporters are still all over Facebook asking for “prayers” and “protection” for Pastor Kong, pledging their ”absolute trust and faith”.

The Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) began its investigation into Kong Hee and his aides two years ago when allegations surfaced that the mega-church’s funds may have been misused, probably to finance the music career of Kong’s pop-star wife, Ms Ho Yeow Sun.
Additionally, the Commissioner of Charities (COC), which launched its own investigation at the same time, found then that there was a “concerted effort to conceal this movement of funds from the charity’s stakeholders.”

Apparently, investigations into the alleged misuse of church funds have been completed, hence the arrest today and charging of Kong Hee and his aides in court tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Pastor Kong’s supporters are all over Facebook and Twitter calling for fellow supporters and believers to pray for the “protection” of Kong Hee and his aides.

Ms Alicia Goh, a 29-year-old was quoted by Yahoo News as saying “I still believe he will come out spotless from all this — he’s a man of God and we believe in him.”

The same media also quoted one “Erictan” as saying that he was “praying and fasting” for Pastor Kong’s “protection”.

On Facebook, most of Pastor Kong’s supporters are are up in arms praying for his “protection” and pledging their faith in him.

Pastor Kong Hee, being more “renowned and blessed” than the plastic surgeon Woffles Wu may just “come out of this fiasco” spotless, given that he has added “protection” from the Almighty.

Why did CHC get so rich? It definitely wasn't God making Kong Hee strike lottery or made dollar notes grow on trees.

It's these people, the CHC churchgoers, who give money to the church week in and week out. Tithes and offerings and building funds and mission funds.
Oh, and don't forget the shameless plugs Kong Hee did for Ho Yeow Sun's music albums. The CHC churchgoers bought a lot of her music CDs. Where did the money go to?
