Charged with biting daughter

A 53-YEAR-OLD man was charged on Wednesday with ill-treating his two-year-old daughter by biting and slapping her. The accused, who cannot be named to protect the victim's identity, is alleged to have bitten the child on her left thigh sometime before Dec 23 last year.
He is also said to have bitten her on her neck and slapped her four to five times sometime before Dec 30, and on another occasion, bitten her on the right thigh and the left side of her face. The man, represented by Mr S.S. Dhillon, was offered $15,000 bail.
A pre-trial conference will be held on Sept 27. If convicted, he faces a fine of up to $4,000 and/or a jail term of up to four years on each charge
