You are right, they should eat at home & then dirty their homes the way they would like it!!

Yes, after the return tray social upheaval, they will implement, sweep the area around you after eating..like army days, do area cleaning, & thereafter the cleaners will come & inspect the table. Once in a while the RSM ( NEA) will do spot check & fine the errant customer(s).

dont blame the customers, the cleaners are just as guilty. instead of collect the rubbish left behind by the customers, the lazy cleaners just "wipe" the rubbish off the tables onto the floors. it happen everywhere and even foodcourts are not spare by these lousy attitude cleaners.

Lucky I only drink beer...same price, alcohol can also help kill germs in those dirty hawker centers.

actually lift upgraded is 90% paid by the state. but the contract run into million and the residents pay 10%. (i know resident by right on 5% but town council 5% also come from residents) HDB will inform the residents in each block that the LUP for that block for example is $1m per lift but does it really cost so much to construct a lift shaft and instal a lift. if u ever come back from nippon, u will see most lifts installed are either ah tiong brands or made in china. from my working experience, i know a fujitec lift made in penang cost about US$180K for a 6 storey hospital type of lift which included installation and spares about 8 years back. even inflation also wont double the cost and buying in bulk also get bulk discount. a normal hdb lift shd be more common than a hospital lift so shd also be cheaper. an ah tiong lift confirm cheaper than fujitec and will it cost half a million to build a lift shaft?
