Blogger told to remove posts on Sue

THE man behind a popular lifestyle, travel and food blog has been told to take down allegedly defamatory posts about and photographs of Ms Cecilia Sue - the star witness in a sex-for-contracts case.
Mr Alvin Lim, 32, told The Straits Times he was served a letter of demand on Thursday by Ms Sue, 36. He removed the material from his Alvinology site immediately.
The online marketing manager declined to reveal what he had published on his site, saying he has received such letters for posts on other matters.
He had removed those as well.
The material was alleged to have contained defamatory information about Ms Sue, a former IT sales manager.
She testified in court last September that former Central Narcotics Bureau chief Ng Boon Gay had forced her to give him oral sex in a car on four occasions.
During the hearings, both Ng and Ms Sue gave graphic accounts of their relationship.
All witnesses have given their testimonies and the trial resumes on Jan 28, with the defence and prosecution summing up.
The verdict is expected by the end of this month.
Mr Lim works for omy.sg, Singapore Press Holdings' Mandarin and English news and entertainment website, and writes on a blog on it under the same name.
But the material in question was posted on his private blog.
According to him, the sites' combined daily traffic ranges from 10,000 to more than 30,000 readers.
