We have two casinos in our Nation. To be proud or not, I really do not know.......
Recently what happened to a local lady, where the casino concerned tried its best to persuade her to collect a sum of $50,000 and a car is an incident that should not be forgotten easily. We are a disciplined society that strictly adheres to rules and regulations. In the eyes of the world we are a good example for other 3rd world nations.
I wonder whether such a thing occurred in the Malaysian Highlands!!!
Many questions need to be answered here...
1) Was the claim by those at the casino who approached the lady and tried to deprive her of her actual winnings true?
2) Why in the first place they could make such a mistake? (if their claim was indeed true)
3) How many times have this sort of incident occurred in the past where some winners accepted a lesser sum? (a look at the past pay-out records maintained by the casino would show and the people concerned can be tracked). Use these people as prosecution witnessess.
There are many more questions to ask.
The Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) surely have independent and skilled investigators to pursue this matter deeply and conduct all the investigations and interrogations of possible suspects.
If the investigation revealed that such a practice has indeed taken place in the past, it should initiate prosecutorial action under the Penal Code and charge those guilty or "had intention to cheat" in court where the matter can be concluded.
If, such a pretext is used by the staff in the casino to enrich themselves, they should be taken to task.
If the casino itself is wrong, then its licence should be suspended and all its assets seized.
This will ensure that such an incident is not repeated in the future.
There are other casinos willing to take the place of one that had been terminated.

Who knows, we may be the next victims!!!!!!!!!!!!
