He lost it because he kept tapping on the brakes. Always lower gears in bends instead of depending on the brakes to slow down especially if the roads are wet. This is FWD, he could have just tapped on the throttle to break the spin but guess due to lack of experience, he didn't know what to do. If it was a RWD, he could have or would have to drift his way out of the spin in 2nd gear light throttle.
