I hope we can learn something from this as an alternative solution, years ago I personally experienced the loss of my spouse, barely 30, to cancer treatment I wonder if this cold have saved her if available then.

A little girl from the state of Oregon, in the United States, has told a remarkable story about how cannabis oil suppressed her Leukemia, after she used the oil for only six days.

According to the Free Thought Project, Mykayla Comstock was diagnosed with cancer at the age of seven. This happened after she began showing symptoms, including a hacking cough, body aches, fever, night sweats, and a rash across her legs.

The first doctor who treated her placed her on antibiotics, but her condition continued to deteriorate. Upon seeing a second doctor, it was discovered that a large mass was in the young girls chest, pressing against her internal organs. After enduring spinal taps and bone marrow biopsies, she was diagnosed with aggressive T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

To treat the symptoms of her daughter’s chemotherapy—nausea, loss of appetite, and restlessness—Mykayla’s mother, Erin Purchase, started giving her a gram of cannabis oil each day. Mykayla is said to usually ingest the cannabis either in the form of a pill or a brownie baked with marijuana-laced butter.

Mykayla’s mother was able to use the cannabis oil because, under Oregon law, pediatric cancer patients are allowed to treat the symptoms of cancer and the side effects of chemotherapy with medical marijuana if the children have parental consent and a doctor’s approval.

After only six days of using the oil, Mykayla’s condition improved. The treatment eased the physical and psychological pain she was going through. Her mother credited the plant for helping to save her daughter’s life.

But even as Mykayla’s story is being told, the FDA still refuses to approve cannabis as a cancer treatment. Although the FDA has approved two cannabinoids (dronabinol and nabilone) for the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting, it still has not approved cannabis as a cancer treatment.

Even the National Institutes of Health has confirmed that cannabis has been studied in the clinic. During these studies, it found that cannabis may aid in treating the symptoms of cancer and the side effects of cancer therapies. It has also been shown to kill cancer cells in the laboratory.

The American Cancer Society has called for more scientific research on cannabinoids. The organization was quoted as saying “for better and more effective therapies that can overcome the often debilitating side effects of cancer and its treatment. The Society also believes that the classification of marijuana as a Schedule I controlled substance by the US Drug Enforcement Administration imposes numerous conditions on researchers and deters scientific study of cannabinoids. Federal officials should examine options consistent with federal law for enabling more scientific study on marijuana.”

In addition to these arguments put forward, the CBD Farm has also said hundreds of studies, along with anecdotal evidence, suggest that cannabis oil helps in the treatment of a wide range of medical conditions, including cancer, Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, Lyme disease, chronic pain, rheumatism, multiple sclerosis, anxiety disorders, asthma and diabetes. Many other people have also testified what cannabis oil has done for them, treating many diseases they thought would prove difficult to cure.

The best track record comes from conventional mainstream medicine.... surgery, chemo and radio therapy. My aunt was cured of cancer by conventional means at 50 and she lived till she was 86.

40% of the human population die either from cancer or with cancer so the chance of any particular individual ending up with cancer at some point in their lives is almost 50/50.

The reason for the increase in cancer rates over the years is down to one thing... longevity. In the old days when the average life span was 40, very few people lived long enough. They usually died of something else long before they reached the age when cancer usually rears its head.

i do not believe chemo, surgery and radio therapy works. it really depends on what type of cancer the person has..

i believe some cancer can be done with surgery in some VERY specific cases, while all the cases of cancer can use natural means to deal with.

i didn't say all other cases.. i say all ( without "other") cases including those VERY specific ones.

Very specific cases like tumor getting your way of carry out routine function like breathing or urinating. There is a blockage and no time to deal with it, need to clear it out immediately.

Even if the blockage is immediate, you can create some way to bypass the blockage while overdosing yourself in nutrients to reduce the tumour. After the tumour is reduced, you can stop the bypass and get back to the normal route. This is what i think as very specific cases.

Recently, a close relative of mine passed away from cancer. I fetched her to and from SGH, NCC, TCM treatment in Paragon Complex, and a few other alternative treatment places. Accompanying her to many so-called "specialists" in these place, I conclude that no-one really understands what cancer is. All they suggest is some recipe treatment, which costs a bomb, and hope the patient can last to return for repeated treatment, and milk the finances of the patient. Cancer comes from inside our bodies, all of us have cancer cells, awating for something (chemical, or emotiomal) to trigger it, and it starts spreading. There are non-smokers who have died from lung-cancer, vegans who die from caner of the stomack, digestive tract, colon, etc. Something causes it, which with our current understaning of science, we are still unable to explain, let alone cure it. Whether cannabis (or anything) helps or not, is all very individual. For anyone whoe gets cancer, the only thing I can suggest is let that person choose the treatment (or the doctor) that s/he is comfortable with. It may be a long process. One person I met does have something to say about cancer that makes sense, a little at least. He was a ginseng farmer working on a ginseng farm in Naigara Falls area. He told me, "Cancer is the revenge of animals."

As for cannabis, its oil, leaves, and other parts have been used by Indian and Chinese herebalist for hundreds of years. In Western medicine, it is endorsed and used (in places where it is medically legalise) to treat various illnesses and conditions like glaucoma, nervous and eating disorders, with some success.

To the general public, it is a harmless weed.
