The vegetation he uses is different from the surrounding and it does not completely break the outline of his body. He might as well use cb leaves. Bigger and easier to cover the body.

on first look, the sniper break into the rock formation but he will be pretty expose once he fire a shot as dust will kick up by his shot thus exposing his position.

Unfortunately all this camouflage technology is out of date as it relies only on hiding the sniper in the visible light spectrum.
Switching to infra red will make any sniper stand out like a sore thumb.
