Can you solve this? Missing $10

Lots of you got it.

The PAP uses such logic to tell us we have it good ...when you dump their logic and use your think cap, you realized that you have been hoodwinked. Sadly, most sinkees still swallow the PAP logic.

Once the market subsidy of $50 is given, the $300 ceases to be relevant.

Instead, the hotel receives $250 after the market subsidy.

The ladies paid $90 each = $270 in total. Less the $20 pocketed by the clerk, becomes $250, which is what the hotel received.

$300-$50(discount) =$250
$250/3=$83.33
Each spent $83.33+$10(return) = $93.33
$93.33 x 3 = $280 + $20(clerk) = $300

Three Ladies went to a hotel to share a room.

There is widespread interest in this question posted by a university in N.Z.

Many people are still trying to work out an answer.

Aiyo, this peanut question still became so widespread in university. Tell NZ people our PLSE student also can answer, but they may not be able to answer our student's PLSE question.

Simplified : $300 paid but returned $10 each so each paid $100-$10= $90 x 3 = $270 so that's the answer. There's no more $300.

$300 doesn't exist any more because each was returned $10 so each paid $90 x 3 = $270. ($250 hotel + $20 clerk pocketed)

The question itself is wrong.

Thanks for the Upz.
