It’s only been made aware that GE could be a lot earlier than what was initially planned and could be early July. I’m helping my daughter to raise funding for election expenses and am forwarding you a message from her. I'm hoping to raise a total of $12,000 by Sunday, 21 June. This will be part of the election expenses that is likely to be incurred on my end, and will contribute to a larger GRC effort.
Out of this $12,000, $8,000 will be pledged into a much larger election expenses war chest that the WP is building. This amount will contribute towards high-cost items such as:
- Large-scale printing of manifesto / flyers / posters
- Cost of mailing campaign materials via Singpost to constituents
- Rental of broadcast equipment for online rallies
Aside from what I have mentioned above, I am also raising an additional $4,000 for any digital advertising for the constituency I am runnning in. Some of this budget may also be set aside as a small gratuity should I decide to hire a professional to help me manage these ads during the campaign hustings. The advertisements will likely take place on Facebook. In the event that I do not utilise this amount, it will all go back to the party war chest for subsequent election cycles.
