You're being ridiculous and your analogy isn't appropriate.
If I buy a car from an internet site and it turns out the car is stolen I lose the car but I am not hauled to jail unless it is proven that I am complicit in the crime and knew the car was stolen. The internet site that listed the car for sale isn't liable either. The criminal is the one who stole the car.
thats true,if im just a ordinary consumer, the police probably wont charge me for a one time case or two,but if im a business?say i own a second hand car dealership.one day a stolen car lands in my yard,i have my suspicions its stolen and "hot" and the authorities might be looking for it because its dirt cheap, the "seller" is willing to part with it for 1/3rd what it would fetch on the market price with no license or registration......and day after day one stolen car after another lands in my yard, the police finally trace the cars to my yard and finds the yard with a bunch of stolen cars in it,can i claim to the police i have absolutely no idea what im doing that i was the recipient of stolen goods on eighteen counts?sorry sir im innocent?what a wonderful world that is!!
