Two PETA campaigners were fined on charge of public obscenity when they distributed bananas in front of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Thursday to campaign for people to eat vegetarian foods instead of eating meat.

They carried signs that read "Go bananas in the bedroom, Go vegan".

Two young foreign women wearing striking red bikinis give bananas to pedestians and motorists in Bangkok's central shopping district of Pathum Wan on Thursday morning. The women are volunteer members of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta). The group launched a campaign telling people they can "go bananas in the bedroom" while abstaining from animal products. The pre-Valentine's Day event was cut short when police told the women in red to quickly get dressed and follow them to Pathum Wan police station. The two were charged with public indecency.
