si mi is more teochew, more Singaporean hokkien, while sia mi is more Taiwan, minnan slang. Over the years, I think the dialects diverged a little for the different regions.

Acoording to Fujianese and Taiwanese.... Sia mi is the correct usage......

Si mi i am not too sure if its from Teochew....

Alot of Sinkie hokkien are not very authentic anymore

Sinkie hokkien contains very limited vocab due to the banning of dialect....sadly
