The Cameroon ministry of sports has instructed the football federation (Fecafoot) to convene a meeting on May 4 at a Paris hotel with five top players of the national team in view of addressing some key issues facing the country’s football, officials said.

The four-day conclave will take place at the Pullman Tour Eifel Hotel in Paris, France, with the participation of officials from the Fecafoot and the sports ministry.

The Indomitable Lions' former vice-captain Enoh Eyong, Nicolas Nkoulou, Stephan Mbia, Idriss Carlos Kameni and Alexandre Song are the five players invited by the football body.

Former captain Samuel Eto’o, who is serving an eight-month ban imposed by the Fecafoot, was not invited but local editorialists suggest that the talks will not be concluded without a word on the team’s all-time top scorer, possibly to reduce his suspension and call him back to the squad ahead of the qualifying campaigns for the 2014 Fifa World Cup and the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
