Losing in the sense that Russia has failed all of its stated objectives and is now embroiled in a war that it cannot afford to lose with Ukraine and is now on the retreat. Russia has lost half of the territory that it seized in Ukraine and it has zero control over any major cities with exception of Mariupol and Donetsk. From a geopolitical standpoint, America has now uncontested control over most of Europe and Russian gas can no longer be used as leverage to prevent the EU from opposing Russia.
