Cabby returned my change... in Indonesian rupiah
STOMPer lamblets was very upset when she got off a cab only to realise the cabby had given her change in Indonesian rupiah. She says:
"I just took a red Trans-Island cab moments ago, and the fare was $7.
"So I gave the driver $8, he gave me the change, and I left the cab.
"After alighting, I took a look at the change. Much to my surprise, the driver gave me an Indonesia coin of 500 rupiah, which is equivalent to less than 10 cents.
"The driver cheated me of my change of 90 cents. Well, it is not a huge sum, but it is the integrity of that driver.
"The driver's hair is short and almost grey, and well I guess without a receipt, Trans cab won't even bother with my feedback on this incident.
"Just have to warn everyone who takes cab, please check your change before alighting the cab. Too many such cases around. Spoilt my day."
