Two of the partners in the so-called Tripartitism policy - which is actually no more than asslicking the PAP govt -are now not eyeball to eyeball. That's cos the workers who are the voters are up in revolution against their leaders for sucking up to profiteering and get rich quick employers who for years since the start of the PAP's Tripartitism policies have been exploiting Sinkies under the sanction of the PAP govt. who depended upon them for political donations and votes. Now after GE2011, the power has returned to the people, who through the rank and file of the union members , are making themselves heard and felt! Time they wear the Tak Boleh Tahan T shirts!

[TD="width: 452, colspan: 2"] NTUC, SNEF disagree over need for foreign manpower control measures By CARINE LEE A difference in opinion has surfaced between The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) over the implementation of control measures to provide fair employment opportunities for Singaporeans.
The disagreement was revealed on Friday in the consultation process initiated by the Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices (TAFEP). This was in response to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's National Day Rally speech calling for fair opportunities in recruitment and career development for locals.
NTUC and SNEF disagreed whether control measures are necessary in ensuring Singaporeans are given fair employment opportunities.
NTUC is of the view that more control measures on foreign manpower will allow Singaporeans better opportunities to pursue career aspirations.
On the other hand, SNEF said that: 'Imposing more administrative and control measures for hiring foreigners will undermine labour market flexibility and ease of doing business in Singapore'.
However, both agreed that effort must be made to attract, retain and nurture Singaporeans in all major sectors of the country's economy.
TAFEP said the guidelines are likely to be released by the fourth quarter of the year. The public is invited to give inputs and suggestions at the TAFEP portal (www.fairemployment.sg) till Oct 24.
