what a coward!!!

When a person is pissed, he will blow his top and shout at the driver. I guess sinkies still lost their balls at this moment of time.

That is not an excuse. Singapore is a small country... it shouldn't be difficult. You can do it by walking and exploring.

With online resources such as Google Maps, Street Directory etc. there is simply no excuse.

Many Sinkies are simply not intellectually curious about things and places beyond those that are immediately practical.

If you don't know something, go and find out. Then learn it, memorize it and teach it.

What I am appalled is that those Ah Tiong bus drivers do not even have rudimentary knowledge of roads and the location of buildings.

What, they don't need to study the Singapore street directory anymore?

You do a survey yourself. Asking any sinkie where is the Fullerton Hotel to those not working in CDB/Raffles Place.

That was a heavenly gifted opportunity and you couldn't see the tree for the forest and went angry over the driver for what? If I was you, I'd be thankful to the driver for not knowing the direction and volunteer to escort the babe safely to her destination. Well, good morning and story telling time again since this reminds me of another story, true story, be assured.

There was once in 2006, after GE and before NDP that I visited GMS computer shop in AMK. On my bus back, there was this PRC babe asking whether the bus stops at Bishan Junction. The driver actually and confidently knew and told her yes. But still, I took the opportunity to volunteer help and claim that I was going there too, don't worry, just follow me to alight at the stop that I alight. Actually my intention and destination was to go home but what the heck, when opportunity comes a-knocking like that, how to reject?

I remember the timeframe well because she brought me back to PRC to meet her brother and sister after we watched NDP 2006 together. I didn't even have to pay for her ticket. She had a return ticket on hand. I just needed to book the same flight which I managed to. Her sister was a fews years elder but equally pretty and friendly. Her brother drove us for a good tour all around Hunan and Guangxi, including mountain climbing a few thousand feet to mountain top farmhouse. It was an incredible experience and could have been dangerous. I had to act gentleman and piggyback my GF across streams up rocky paths.

Her brother and sister were even more incredible. I was wearing Reebok trackshoes and already worried about slipping. His brother was wearing heeled leather shoes and her sister was wearing high heels, climbed those rocks and crossed those streams like nobody's business. They were apparently brought up and trained that way. My GF being the youngest apparently wasn't, probably too much dotted on. She couldn't climb and asked me to piggyback her. How could I lose face in front of her brother, of course I must do it. Of course I did it and lucky I didn't slip. Had I slipped, there might two injuries or worse, two fatalities.

Dangerous but rewarding experience. That night, I saw what Van Gogh called Starry Starry Night. I've never seen such a starry night anywhere at anytime except that night there. It was such a starry starry beautiful night. The mountain top fountain water was also incredibly fresh, whether for drinking, cooking or bathing. You have to drink it or bathe in it to feel the difference. PUB and even Perrier water are nowhere near comparison.

Not much impression. Think the place used to be some kind of big post office or court?

Is not whether Singaporeans knows or not. But the fact that someone who is driving bus no. 70 (which pass to and fro Fullerton Hotel) does not know where is Fullerton Hotel!!! Isn't it a joke? Fullerton is a major landmark in Singapore and not just some kachang puteh obsecure place.

OK, if I ask the driver whether the bus no 70 passes Jade Hotel (it does) or not, and if he does not know, I am not surprised... But hey is Fulleton Hotel my friend!!
