In September, a 127 sq m (1,367 sq ft) executive apartment on levels 28 to 38 of Block 181 Jelebu Road changed hands in a resale for $1.02 million ($746 psf). It was the first HDB flat in Bukit Panjang to cross the $1 million mark, according to data captured in Edgeprop Shortlist of HDB million-dollar deals.

The executive apartment on Jelebu Road is right across from the Bukit Panjang integrated transport hub, Bukit Panjang Plaza and Hillion Mall, which could explain the high price paid for the flat, says Lee Sze Teck, senior director, data analytics, Huttons Asia.

Block 181 is one of eight 30-storey public housing blocks on Jelebu Road built in 2003. The executive apartment has a 99-year lease from 2003; hence, it has a remaining lease of 78 years and eight months, notes Huttons' Lee.
