Best of friends......The decision of Russia and China to go in mutual trade to settlements in national currencies is a protective reaction of the two powers from failures in the global financial system.

Not really about failure of global financial system which has survived many financial crisis but rather to cut dependence on using USD for trade between Russia and China. Yuan is now accepted in several countries, SG included, for trade settlement. Remove USD from being the trade currency and both of them will reduce importance of USD.
