This was revealed by one of our readers who tried to access our site from within the premise of the British Council.
According to the reader, who enquired with the council staff as to why the blockage, the reply he got was “It is our internal policy”.
From the image snapshot which was attached in his email to us, the notice on the blocked warning page was:
“The website you are trying to access has been denied under the British Council’s Internet Policy. If you have any issue with this, please speal to a member of our staff.”
We are unable to confirm at this juncture if the block was a technical glitch or internal policy as claimed.
