Here is a selection of images from the amazing model agency where being 'ugly' means you get the job. That's because these men and women
are just some on the books of one of the world's biggest character model agencies - Ugly Models

The London-based unique approach has seen their people feature in everything from James Bond films to Marks and Spencer adverts

And it's not a case of size zero for these models with everyone ranging from size six to 30 catered for from 18 to 100 years old

In the ultimate antidote to TV shows like Britain's Next Top Model the weird workers of this agency are set to appear in their own
fly-on-the wall documentary. Britain's Ugliest Models airs on Channel Five Thursday August 26 at 11pm

Ugly Models have been operating for more than 40 years and owner Marc French, 47, said the message is that conventional is not interesting

Marc, who runs the company from Edgeware Road, in the capital's East End, said:
"What makes an ugly model different is someone that is comfortable in their own skin"

He adds, "Models these days are so bland and normal to look at, we find people who have character and something different about them"

"Our models have worked for everyone from Calvin Klein to Italian Vogue and there is a massive demand for them"

"In terms of films we have just finished the Harry Potter film and we've been in every Bond film you can think of. We have open auditions - like the one we are having next month - and the queues go on for miles with people wanting to get on the books"

"It's amazing you have little old ladies standing in line next to Hell's Angels all wanting to give it a go"

actually in modelling, they need all sorts of people. not only the chiobus or the chiokangs. they need some special people for some unique assignments or special requirement from the clients. thats what i understand from friends in modelling. :)
