This white guy is a good example of the westerners' condescending mentality. If you look at their talks and documentaries of poor countries like India, Africa, ASEAN and South America, there is always this exotic zoo visitation mentality which they dress up as being positive and/or empathetic.

Essentially what they are doing is just satisfying their voyeurism on poor and desperate people and then trying to spin some tales to do a cheap virtue signal. Just like humans visiting zoos, most people just want to see the animals in close proximity to satisfy their curiosity, but we will spin some nonsense like helping to raise awareness, conservatism, protect biodiversity etc. to make the experience more morally palatable.
