BREXIT - respect Referendum result of British, PAP should stop KPKB!!!

I hope UK should respect the wish of 52% british and not be presurrised by rich people populist demands, to review and debate on the result. If populist demand is a dirty word that often irritates PAP, we should also respect the referendum result, just like we respect the, not so respectable, result of Tony Tan becoming Singapore president in the last PE.

The world should just move on, respect the british people and the reasons behind the result. It serves as wake up call that people are not happy with laxed immigration, the problems brought by immigrants that caused such huge divide in our society. If Donald Trump win the US presidential election, it is an affirmation that the world needs a better leader who truly cares for its own people.

70% sinkies should wake up too, and stop being drugged by PAP.

If changing the constitution require at least a 2/3 parliamentary majority vote, how can a simple majority of only 52% in the BREXIT referendum be legally binding with regards to separation? The legitimacy of such a slim majority in an important issue becomes in itself suspect. Was there even a vote recount?

Referendums in the UK are not legally binding and the government could choose to ignore the results. However the political cost of ignoring the results would be higher than implementing the outcome.

You need a simple majority to form a government. Voter turnout was 70%-the highest in the past 20 years. The very idea of a re referendum or revote if you like is a preposterous idea that will not gain traction in any democracy around the world. The 'losers' will often claim foul play, etc, etc. Don't blame the British voters, blame it on the campaigners of pro remain who resorted to threats and scaremongering among others(it only works in SG).

It's time for the Brits to reflect and heal the divisions inflicted across every strata of society and move on. If Scotland wants another referendum for independence, just remind them to take their share of the debt burden and leave.

Just as I thought it would pan out. There are calls for a GE with a new IN/OUT referendum. Gosh, it will take weeks if not months before we see any clarity in Europe.

if 70 percent vote for PAP,we should respect their populist wishes too,and tell the vocal minority to leave them alone and move on.

popularism is good what? flips chose dutdut who bascially copied sinkies in davaos city. he has cops with machine gun patrolling the coast, we have SPF patrolling MRTs with machine guns. although i've only seen the SPF catch stoned mats at MRTs. he bans smoking in most places, so do we! he bans alcohol after 1am, we even more hardcore and ban alcohol sales earlier.

The problem with 70% sinkies lies with the fact that they voted for PAP and still complain. 52% British have more guts. They don't complain but used the vote instead. Know the difference between Sinkies and British.
