Retired Woman Accountant wanted by Police for allegedly cheating victims of more than S$1,000,000 in love scams
SINGAPORE: A woman, an early retired accountant is currently wanted by the Police for her suspected involvement in several cases of online love scams, the police said in a news release on Sunday (Feb 30).
Several police reports were made early last month. The victims were purportedly asked by a supposed virgin retired accountant to transfer money to various local bank accounts.
The victims were cheated of at least S$1,000,000 in total, according to the police.
Preliminary investigations showed that the bank account holders had passed the cash to the retired accountant who had professed to be a true virgin online in Sammyboy Forum in exchange for tantric virgin sex. She then allegedly carried the money out of Singapore to Johore which the woman currently resides.
After gaining the victims' trust in Sammyboy forum, the supposed virgin woman would then ask them to transfer money in advance for sex, said the police.
Investigations are ongoing.
