Its about time 4th telco compete with existing telcos especially Singtel. Someone just need to come out with a competitive plan, value for money. Especially Singtel been monopolising the mkt far too long.

SINGAPORE: Singapore's fourth telco, TPG Telecom, announced on Monday (Mar 19) it will be targeting senior citizens aged 65 and above when it launches its first mobile service here. In a press release, TPG said its mobile plan for seniors will include a SIM card, 3GB of monthly data and unlimited calls to local mobiles at "no charge for the first 24 months". The data, the telco said, is aimed at encouraging the elderly to "get more out of their mobile" by surfing the Web, using apps like WhatsApp and WeChat, and navigating with map apps. This group of senior citizens are unlikely to consume alot of digital content such as video streaming and exceed data usage (in the future, if they start charging). Furthermore, what's the projection? They have 10 years left in them before they all die?

That is why 10 years left, give the time of their lives, when they are around, can tie in with hospice, old age home & even funeral services; give them free unlimited data usage at certain time of the day, say between midnight to dusk. The bandwidth, free access to premium porn sites & complimentary access to the milder ones at the other sammyboy site.

Guarantee to have subscriptions...help to reduce population & rejuvenation of the population triangle....for between midnight & dusk, many gets heart attacks...
 
19 years ago, i used to enjoy free 2-min air time by dialing a prefix and listen to a short ad before call-connection.
 
It reminds me of those cinemas coming up with all sorts of gimmicks to get retirees to watch movies in the morning and afternoons.
