They will tell you they cannot trust their medical services over there.. which brings me back to my earlier question...

Spore hospital must have given him an overdose of something or other to kill him off just like the poor old lady who kenna overdose of radio iodine and gave her cancer or probably gave him wrong blood like the nurses at Mt Alevrnia etc etc.

He may have lived longer if he had stayed back in Bangla land.

DHAKA: Bangladesh President Zillur Rahman, a veteran ruling party politician named to the largely ceremonial post in 2009, died Wednesday in a Singapore hospital, an embassy official said. He was 84.

"The president died at a hospital here in Singapore at 6.47pm local time," Bangladesh High Commissioner in Singapore M. Mahbubuzzaman told AFP by phone.

Rahman, who was suffering from kidney and respiratory problems, was flown to Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital by air ambulance on March 10 after his condition worsened.

His secretary Shafiul Alam told AFP that Rahman, a close aide of the nation's founding leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, had been suffering from "old age complications".

Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent its condolences, saying it is assisting to fly the late president's body back to Bangladesh on Thursday.

The former deputy chief of the ruling Awami League party, the country's 19th president, leaves a son who is a lawmaker and two daughters.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the parliament speaker, who has been discharging the day-to-day job of the president in Rahman's absence, also sent their condolences.

Rahman's wife Ivy Rahman, also a politician, died in August 2004 after she was critically injured in a grenade attack on an Awami League party rally that also killed 20 other people.

why all these come here to mati one?

tomorrow everybody standby cleaning equipment and clear your own rubbish.

your friendly neighbourhood bangladeshi cleaner will be in mourning or celebrating, depends on what this chap means to them.

Poor Pinay lasses, where will they go without their "dark and handsome" boyfriends.

Singapore Government (using public money) is arranging to send the body of the dead Pres back to Dhaka.

What about the many Singaporeans who were involved in accidents or died overseas?

Name me one case where the Government of a small rich nation brought the mortal remains of their citizens back?

With so many high profiles cases of foreigners dying in Spore: failure in separating the conjoined twins, Susan Lim's overcharging the dead patient's family, the rape victim, the Bangladesh president,...

It's not going to do Spore's reputation as a medical hub any good.
