He was informed by the security guard on Monday that the main door of his shop on Middle Road had been forced open. He then discovered $30,000 cash, jewellery worth $20,000 and foreign currency worth $1,500 missing from his safe. He had locked the shop before leaving for the day on Friday. In another break-in during the same weekend, a moneychanger lost more than $3,000 in local and foreign cash at his shop at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8. Anyone with information can call the police hotline on 1800-255-0000.
