Tiger Airways notified STOMPer Eddie's sister of a rescheduled flight, only after the plane had taken off on the same day. The flight to Macau was brought forward to Aug 26, 6am, but the notice was time-stamped 5.13pm on the same day.
In the STOMPer's report:
"My sis was suppose to board the plane on Aug 27 at 6am but ...
"Tiger Airways sent a email to her on Aug 26 at 5.13pm that the plane was rescheduled to take off on the same day at 6am!
"When she knew of the reschedule, they called Tiger to clarify but was not given any solutions.
"Eventually, the trip was cancelled and when they tried to get a refund on the air ticket, they found out that the process would take months. On top of that, my sister still have to pay for partial hotel fees as they could not get a refund on the rooms they booked for the first night.
"My sis had booked the flight in end-June.
"Bravo! Well done Tiger Airways!"
